About Jack R. Schneider
Jack R. Schneider is a native Coloradoan who was reared on the family farm east of Severance. He was in the last 8th grade graduating class at Severance Grade School and was the 3rd generation to graduate from Eaton High School. He majored in Animal Science at Colorado State University and joined the Colorado Air National Guard. After 25 years in the Guard, he retired as a Major.
Jack started farming with his father in 1969 on the farm owned by four generations of his family. In 1988 he purchased his father’s share of the farm and continued with the farming and cattle feeding operations. He currently farms 1000 acres of land, owns a 400 head cow herd, a 6700 acre ranch in Northeastern Colorado and the Baldridge Subdivision in Severance.
Jack has always been very community minded, joining and competing in 4-H clubs and activities since he was 10 years old, participating in exchange programs, winning a trip to the National 4-H Livestock Judging Contest in Chicago, serving as a Livestock Leader, Junior Livestock Sale Committee member, and was Beef Superintendent for many years. He was active in the Colorado Livestock Association serving as an area director and Vice President. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, a member and Past President of the T-Bone Club of Greeley, and was an appointed member of the Weld County Commission’s Ad Hoc Committee to preserve agriculture in Weld County.
Currently, Jack is a member of the Board of Directors for Poudre Valley Rural Electric Association, and the Colorado Rural Electric Association.
For many years, Jack was an avid water skier and competed in the local tournaments. His latest passion is golf. He also enjoys traveling with his wife Beverly as they tour the world.
