History of BevJac Enterprises
The original farm, which today encompasses Trestle Lake Farms, was homesteaded in 1893 by Walter Norman Baldridge, Jack Schneider’s great grandfather. The first home was built of sod until the farmhouse was constructed in 1896. The Baldridge family farmed the land and raised cattle to make a living. This tradition of hard work and dedication continued through the generations.
In 1939, Roy Schneider married Barbara Baldridge and purchased the adjacent farm from Barbara’s aunt. Roy and Barbara built a newer brick home adjacent to the original farmhouse in 1954. In 1967, Roy purchased the west quarter section from Barbara’s brothers. In 1969, Jack and Roy entered into a partnership to farm and raise cattle. In 1989, Jack and Beverly purchased the 150 acre farm south of County Road 74 from the estate of Jack’s great aunt. In 1990, Jack bought Roy’s share of the partnership and established Jack Schneider Farms.
Since then Jack has farmed the land for corn and hay and raising beef-producing cattle. In 1999, Schneider founded the Baldridge subdivision, which lies south of the Trestle Lake Farm property.
In 2004, Schneider expanded his operation into Northeastern Colorado. He purchased 10 sections of land (approximately 6300 acres) for grazing cattle. The ranch is now known as BevJac Land and Cattle, LLC.
